PACE Speaker Series - George Simons: Frontier Artist

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday September 30

7:00 PM  –  8:00 PM

This Keynote presentation shows rare historical scenes from PACE’s permanent collection.

With frontier artist George Simons we cross the Missouri River in 1855 and explore the tiny frontier town of Omaha. The drawings and paintings done by the artist a century and a half ago show individual homes, churches, people, livestock, and steamboats.

We travel to the Elkhorn River with views of the early homestead of Grenville M. Dodge and the Emigrant Ferry. And there are drawings of far western Nebraska during the Colorado gold rush of 1859. Come and join us for an engaging evening of history and art.
