PACE Ceramics - Youth Ceramics (Ages 7-12)

Students create functional and sculptural works of art in clay utilizing the processes of hand-building with molds, coils, and slabs, with extended decorative techniques. Careful consideration of forms, designs, and uses, along with excellent craftsmanship is emphasized during these classes. Students learn the full process from working with wet clay to applying texture and applying color.

Each session can stand alone or will adapt to challenge young artists and engineers, building on techniques they’ve learned in class with every project. 3D modeling techniques will be demonstrated for returning students.
